Alien Metals welcomes Nathan Douglas as General Manager of Operations

Alien Metals

Alien Metals Limited (LON:UFO), a company focused on the exploration and development of the Hancock iron ore Project and the Pinderi Hills project in Western Australia, has welcomed accomplished mine developer, Nathan Douglas, as General Manager of Operations.

Overview

As part of the execution strategy, the Company has appointed the highly experienced mine operator and developer, Nathan Douglas to bolster the project and technical team. Nathan will be supported by the Company’s advisory board consisting of mining industry experts, including former Alien Metals Non-Executive Chairman Alwyn Vorster (formerly Managing Director of BCI Minerals Ltd as well as previously holding a senior management role at Rio Tinto), to guide the Company on the various strategic options currently available to Alien Metals.

·  Nathan is an accomplished mine developer and C-suite manager with over 25 years of experience in the exploration, mining, and construction industries. Notably, Nathan has held senior executive and management roles for the past 12 years, including CEO of a major West Australian industrial mineral company, Leichardt Industrials Group, and Operational Manager at BCI Minerals Limited (Iron Ore) and Dampier Salt Limited (Rio Tinto).

·  Nathan has proven results in large-scale acquisitions, delivery of feasibility studies including environmental, native title, government approvals and operational management, including technical and engineering of both green and brownfield projects.

This appointment follows the recent key additions to the Alien Metals team, including:

·   Technical Director, Mr. Rob Mosig, to the Board as a Non-Executive Director, who brings significant expertise in exploration, development, and strategic partnering and direct experience on the Company’s PGM and base metals project in the West Pilbara region.

·    The Company strengthened its exploration iron ore team with the appointment of an iron ore expert from global mining consulting firm CSA Global (now ERM). CSA Global has leading iron ore exploration and development expertise, and recently played an important role in Fenix Resources Ltd’s (ASX: FEX) transformation from an iron ore explorer to a producer within 18 months.

Guy Robertson, Executive Director, commented:

“The appointment of Nathan Douglas as General Manager of Operations is a welcome addition to the team at this key juncture when Alien Metals is focused on progressing the development of the Hancock iron ore project and unlocking the value of the Pinderi Hills PGM-Ni-Cu projects.

“We identified Nathan due to his expertise across the mining project development lifecycle, with particular experience in mine development in iron ore, and we look forward to his support in building long-term value for our shareholders.”
