Hercules plc wins £6.2m new water sector contracts

Hercules Plc

Hercules plc (LON:HERC), a leading technology enabled labour supply company for the UK infrastructure and construction sectors, has announced that its Civils Projects division has been awarded a series of new sub-contract packages from its clients in the UK water sector to start in Q1 FY2026. The new agreements total c.£6.2 million in value and are expected to be delivered in the next six months.

These clients are delivering crucial upgrades and increased capacity at clean and wastewater treatment sites across the UK. Hercules will manage and deliver projects in the following regions:

c.£4.2 million awarded within the Thames Water region
c.£2 million awarded within the Anglian Water region

These new agreements follow the announcement on 17 September 2025 of new contract awards from Hercules’ clients in the UK water sector totalling c.£6.5 million in value over their duration.

All these contracts have been awarded at a time when the UK water sector is undergoing a significant period of investment and transformation. Ofwat has committed more than £104 billion to water utility companies during the current Asset Management Period, AMP8 (2025 – 2030), which began in April this year. This represents a record level of capital expenditure in the water sector, focusing on environmental improvements, reducing pollution incidents, upgrading ageing infrastructure, and increasing resilience to climate change.

Hercules is a strategic supplier to contractors operating within the following UK water regions:  Anglian Water, Thames Water, Southern Water, Severn Trent Water, Wessex Water, United Utilities, Welsh Water, and Yorkshire Water.

As a result, the Board of Hercules expects to continue to secure additional contracts and deliver a wide range of projects over the coming years as AMP8 builds momentum.

Commenting on the update, Brusk Korkmaz, CEO of Hercules, said:

“These contract wins across the Thames Water and Anglian Water regions demonstrate the strength of our position in the UK water sector. With AMP8 now underway and the industry entering an unprecedented period of investment, our Civils Projects division is benefitting from the growing demand for our project delivery expertise.

“The scale of opportunity in the water sector is considerable as the sector’s investment programme accelerates. We are well placed to support our clients as they upgrade critical water and wastewater infrastructure nationwide and look forward to building on the positive momentum so far and securing further contracts.”
