Avingtrans’ Adaptix Ortho350 receives CE certification

Avingtrans plc

Avingtrans plc (LON:AVG), which designs, manufactures and supplies critical components, modules, systems and associated services to the energy, medical and industrial sectors, has announced that its subsidiary Adaptix Limited has received CE certification for the Adaptix Ortho350, its breakthrough orthopaedic 3D imaging system.

Based in the Oxford University Science Park, Adaptix is on a mission to transform radiology by offering affordable, low-dose 3D Digital Tomosynthesis (DT) imaging at the point-of-care.

Securing CE certification demonstrates that the Adaptix Ortho350 meets the stringent safety, health and environmental protection requirements of the European Union and the United Kingdom. This enables Adaptix to commercialise its technology across key European and UK healthcare markets.

The Adaptix Ortho350 is a compact, mobile Digital Tomosynthesis (DT) system designed to deliver fast, low dose, high resolution 3D X-ray imaging at the point of care. Developed specifically for imaging upper and lower extremities, hands, elbows, shoulders, knees and feet, at a fraction of the radiation dose of traditional CT systems and at a more reasonable cost. The Adaptix Ortho350 system provides clinicians with clearer images than 2D X-ray systems, accelerated patient workflow and enhanced diagnostic confidence.

Adaptix already supplies its core 3D imaging technology to the veterinary and industrial nondestructive testing markets via its Adaptix VetSA3D and Adaptix NDT3D product lines. The CE certification marks a major inflection point, opening up the human imaging market for its technology in the UK and Europe paving the way for revenue expansion and strengthened commercial partnerships across the region.

Stuart Gall, CEO of Avingtrans PLC Medical and Industrial Imaging Division, said:

“Receiving our CE certificate for the Adaptix Ortho350 is a defining moment for the company in our mission to transform radiology. This approval enables us to bring truly disruptive, low dose 3D imaging directly to clinicians and patients in the UK and Europe. For our shareholders, this milestone unlocks significant commercial opportunities and accelerates our pathway toward scaled adoption in human healthcare. We are extremely proud to move into this next phase of growth in delivering “3D-First” enhanced orthopaedic DT imaging across Primary Care, Emergency Departments and Outpatient settings.”
