CMC Markets broadens investor reach with integrated multi-asset platform

CMC Markets Plc

CMC Markets has introduced a new multi-asset platform that brings investing and trading into a single account, marking an important step in how the group is positioning its offer for a wider range of client activity. The new setup allows users to invest in more than 12,000 global shares and ETFs while also trading CFDs and options through the same platform, removing the separation that often exists between long-term portfolio building and shorter-term market exposure.

CMC is moving to capture clients across a broader set of use cases, rather than relying on a narrower trading proposition. By combining outright ownership of equities and ETFs with access to leveraged products, the company is aiming to increase relevance across different market conditions and across different stages of the client relationship.

The platform offers investing in shares and ETFs with 0% commission and no platform or holding fees, with a 0.5% foreign exchange conversion fee applying where relevant. At the same time, CMC has removed commission on UK and EU share CFDs, excluding Greece. Taken together, those changes sharpen the group’s competitive position in areas where cost visibility has become increasingly important.

CMC Markets plc (LON:CMCX) is a UK-based financial services company that offers online trading in shares, spread betting, contracts for difference and foreign exchange across world markets.
