Drax Foundation funding targets education, skills and environmental projects

Drax Group plc

Drax has allocated new funding through the Drax Foundation to support community projects across the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada, with programmes expected to reach more than 23,000 people. The latest grants focus on education, skills development and nature based initiatives, reflecting the company’s continued use of community investment to support engagement in regions connected to its operations.

The funding covers projects approved during the second half of 2025 and is directed towards organisations working in education, youth development and environmental access.

A significant portion of the funding will support science, technology, engineering and mathematics education. More than 10,500 children are expected to benefit from STEM programmes designed to increase participation in technical subjects and build interest in careers linked to science and engineering.

The grants also include programmes aimed at young people who are currently not in education, employment or training. More than 1,700 individuals are expected to receive mentoring and support designed to help them access training, education or employment opportunities.
